Traghetto is a locality in the municipality of Argenta, in the Province of Ferrara, on the border with the Province of Bologna. It lies on the confluence of Po di Primaro with the River Reno. Although this village is part of the municipality of Argenta (16,9 km away) it is better connected with the municipal services of Molinella, 1 km to the south, on the south bank of the Reno in the Province of Bologna. The placename derives from the ferry service, which connected once across the Po di Primaro with the south bank of the Reno at Molinella, opposite  Polesine di Marrara, on the Ferrara side, and the villages around the present Portomaggione. Worthy of attention are the little church of St Giovanni Battista (XVII century), and the oratory of St Libera.

We depart from the Parish Church and arrive at the far end of the village, we turn left and enter on the Provincial Highway SP7 by turning right; a few meters beyond and we climb on the embankment of the River Reno. We cross the railway and turn left,  we walk for 300 m and at the fork we go right on Via Morgone and take Via Consandolo which we find  after 6,5 Km. A further 3 km on the same dirt road and we will be in Boccaleone. 1,8 km more and we return on the left embankment of the Reno, opposite the giant plan for lifting the waters at Saiarino. 1,5 km beyond we shall cross Provincial Highway SP38. On for 200 m still on the embankment, turn left, then right and enter Argenta from Via Aldo Moro.

WARNING! in the wetlands of the plains provide yourself with products against mosquitoes
