PUT OFF !!! – WALKING FOR EUROPE

For solidarity to the people and for our friends kept busy  for the earthquake in Italy

FROM BRENNER TO STERZING-VIPITENO = Within the project of the Pilgrim Crossing Borders which has had a great success last year, leading groups of various nations from Norvey to Rome, we want to emphasize the connection among the cultures and peoples of Europe, in an effort to create a United Europe.
So we are going to organize a walk to play in the day
Saturday, August 27,
departing from Brenner and arriving in Vipiteno-Sterzing.
This walking involves, with Federtrek, the Via Romea Germanica and particularly its members (CAI Alto Adige, CAI Bozen and other sections CAI Alto Adige-South Tyrol).  The Associations Jerusalem Way (Austria) and Via Romea Standensis Abt.Albert (Germany) gave the patronage and their will to participate (with this Associations the Via Romea has a program a Confederation for the recognition as Route of Cultural European Interest. And we would like that such initiative will involve other organizations, including non-local, as well as walkers with sensitivity to this issue for Europe The event will have no character or party of opposition of different political sensitivities, but it wants only to reiterate the will to pursue the values of understanding, and respectful collaboration of the cultures and the religions. The spirit is already known of the Pilgrim Crossing Borders 2015. Later on we will organize other walks along the way from Brenner to Rome
Participants will meet at Brenner, near the local CAI office, for the departure fixed at 9.00 a.m.,

after a welcome coffee by the same CAI. Then you will walk to the Vipiteno-Sterzing. The arrival is scheduled for 2.30 p.m.
The path is easy, of about 16.5 kilometres, with almost all downhill gradient. You need boots or hiking shoes
No cost for participation is expected; each will bear its own costs.
It is suggested to leave the car at Vipiteno-Sterzing and to take the train Vipiteno Sterzing-Brenner at 8,03 or 8,33 a.m.
Coming from Bolzano the useful train from the Bozen railway station is at 7.01 or 7.32 a.m.
Who arrives in Brenner by car, has the return from Vipiteno-Sterzing by train at 2,33 or 3,03 or 4,03 p.m.
