BAGNO DI ROMAGNA PRESENTATION OF THE VIA ROMEA

On Wednesday, August 09, 2017 at the Palazzo del Capitano in Bagno di Romagna, the Via Romea Germanica was presented to the numerous guests of Bagno’s SPA. The evening, organized by Alberto Merendi of “Altra Terra”, was highly appreciated: the really interested public asked many questions about Via Romea. Bagno di Romagna, as well as being a Spa of excellence, frequented from all over Italy and abroad, has always been, for the ancient Via Romea, the last point of support for the pilgrims, who here enjoyed special privileges, such as free diving in the thermal pools. An act of hospitality before they approached the Apennine peaks, the Passo Serra, the forest with all its dangers (ferocious animals, bandits, badgers and bad weather …). Now, this area is also a great resource, thanks to the contribution of the National Park of Foreste Casentinesi, one of the most beautiful in the world, also sanctioned by the recent UNESCO area of ​​Sasso Fratino.
