IN MUNICH THE EAVRG BOARD

On 12th and 13th December, in Munich, the EAVRG meeting took place with the agenda:
1) Organization of the EAVRG
2) European Recognition: visit of the expert of the Institute for Cultural Routes
3) Preparation of the 2020 event: “Pilgrims Open Horizons” (POH)
A fruitful meeting, attended by members of Via Romea Germanica, Romweg and Jerusalem Way. Then friends came from Tyrol of Jackobsweg Association (Ferdinand Trembl and Rainard) who even showed interest in joining the EAVRG team. Furthermore, the speech by Andrea Gelmetti of AIGAE (Italian Association of Environmental Guides) was highly appreciated.
This week we meet Prof. Kristen Manz from Berlin who has been appointed as the verifier of our application for the European Recognition by the Council of Europe Institute: we meet her in Bozen and in Valsugana.
The great POH project is walks and events along the Via Romea Germanica from Stade (May 2020) to Rome (October 2020). We are sorting out procedures, promotion, organization, meetings and events in various German, Austrian and Italian cities. In addition to the EAVRG Associations, there are also the Jackobsweg, the AIGAE and several friendly Associations in Germany and Italy: thanks to all of them! A project that links walking to a project of peace, of respect for the environment, of friendship between peoples and religions, in a Europe that needs a decisive revival.
We will soon publish the program.
