NEW SIGNS TOWARD NORTH

For some time many pilgrim friends asked for help to take the VIA ROMEA GERMANICA from Rome to Stade, that is from South to North. The request has its historical value, because the pilgrim, once he arrived in Rome, had to go home, and therefore necessarily make the journey backwards. So, despite many difficulties, we were able to start this new adventure.
The signs designed for the return route are obviously identical, like design and colors, to the classic ones of the North-South way: but they have a yellow semitransparent band, so that they are clearly visible. The yellow arrow bordered with black remains unchanged.
The first signs were put today in the Civitella di Romagna-Cusercoli section.
In fact, Thursday 25 April 2019, as part of the National Liberation Anniversary, the Municipality of Civitella organized a walk on the Via Romea in that very stretch, from the main square of Civitella di Romagna to the Castle of Cusercoli
Note: we were pleased to meet, in the middle of the forest, the pilgrim Christoph Hein who is going from Germany to Rome ….
